Dear lady at the playground:
No, I really don't think my daughter is too young to be on the playground. Yes, I did laugh out loud at you when you said "but aren't you worried about her playing with the boys? She might get hurt" (I know, right LOL).
However what I am worried about is the sheer amount of weight your two children are carrying around. Your 5 year old was so overweight that he couldn't run and play with the other kids. In fact, he could barely walk. The other thing I'm worried about is the fact that while I was there, I watched him pound down 2 full sized Hershey bars and 4 Kool-Aid bottles!!
Oh and PS, I may suffer from a little deafness but I can hear you when you turn to your friend and proclaim snidely "this is why I hate this place. Too many kids that are far too young with NO supervision" Seriously, leave then. No one told you that you had to come here.

Sigh, were you at hassle park again?
LOL If it was Hassle, I am so never going there again!
But seriously, did she not see MT running circles around with the biggest, baddest boys out there?
I'm channeling my eighth-grade self: MYOB!
No FCC.
Apparently, she did and that was what bothered her. I think it pissed her off when I laughed instead of being shocked that she was playing with *gasp* BOYS!
Well, you know... boys have cooties! And she might dirty her dress or start spitting or something. Sigh. Sometimes I think we've gone so far culturally, and other times I just want to shake people and ask what hole they've been living in for the last 30 years.
I love your open letters. They get me all riled up and ready to fight the next snarky person I run into!
Apparently, people have no sense of boundaries. It's none of that lady's business if your daughter runs around with the big kids and, dare I say it, boys. Did you at least tell her that MT has an older brother and that she could take him out if she had to? Sheesh.
And I do feel sorry for her kids. Maybe she felt compelled to comment on your parenting skills because she's so inadequate and has to overcompensate w/chocolate & kool-ade? Lordy.
