I watched Surivor last night and was LMAO at the strategy. Bob and sugar rock! And um, I don't like Crystal but her yelling at the camera cracked me up. LOL
I ordered my new battery on Amazon. Dell sells it for 130. Amazon marketplace sells it for 58. No contest. Even though the Amazon one is an after market, there is no way I would over twice the price for a name brand.

Yuck
So yesterday was officially a "not good" day. It wasn't terrible, just a few things happened to rank it as not good.
First, over the weekend, I developed a hole in the only pair of comfortable jeans I had. Not a patchable hole either :( When I got to looking at them, even if I could have patched the hole, it wouldn't have mattered because there were holes developing at the corners of the back pockets and on the middle seam. So they had to do in the trash. I decided that I would make due with my uncomfortable jeans, thinking that if I wore and washed them more often, they would soften up and be ok. Well, I wore them for about an hour this morning before I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I decided I had to suck it up and go buy jeans. I hate buying clothes because nothing ever fits right and it costs too much money. I went to Steve and Barry's (BTW, everything is 2.98 or less there right now and they still have a bunch of stuff, especially smaller sizes for the next 4 days) to see if they had anything before they went out of business. I found one pair of jeans in the right size, but they were 4 inches too long. I don't like hemmed pants so I passed (even though I could have probably dealt with it for 2.98 for a pair of jeans) and went to Old Navy. I grabbed my normal size and went and tried them on. I'm very sad to admit that they didn't fit (strange since the pair that ripped was the same size, but whatever) and I had to get the next size up. So not only did I have to buy pants, they just confirmed that I'm a giant fat ass! Did that change my eating habits at all? Of course not! I still had a greasy double cheeseburger, fries and ice cream for lunch and cheese covered enchiladas and beans for dinner. Hopefully, today will be the last day for the cast and I can start going to the gym again. Of course, if I lose much weight, my pants will be too big (they fit fine when they are unstretched but I know they will stretch and be too big, which I would rather have than too small) and then I'll be pissed that I spent the money for pants that don't fit.
RF said I need to become a vampire so that I never change size. I said that I need some kind of wasting illness and lose 100lbs and then become a vampire and never change sizes. :( I bought 2 pairs of pants, spent 3x more per pair than I wanted to spend and had to get a bigger size. It was not a pleasant morning.
Before we left to look at pants, I was playing on facebook and downloading some things. All of a sudden, my laptop shut down. Not too suprising since the battery is toast (I'm getting a new on for Xmas, I just have to suck it up til then) and won't hold a charge. Anytime it is unplugged (and the plug seems to fall out fairly often) it dies. I restarted it and got a blue screen of death. It said to restart and I did and got another blue screen. I had RF look at and he found a file called delself.bat on my desktop, which turned out to be a virus. He ran the anti-virus program and it came up with nothing. He got online and found that other people had had that virus and that it destroys the system registry and the only cure for it seemed to be reformatting and reinstalling :( Fortunately, most of my stuff was backed up and the few things that weren't (recent pictures that I haven't moved over to the big drive), I was able to access and transfer in safe mode. I found my disk and it is reformatting. Hopefully, it will be up and running soon because my desktop is a POS. It is getting replaced for Xmas as well, but again, I have to suck it up for a few more weeks.
So, all in all, a crummy day. Hopefully today will be better.

Long time, no post
First, I met Mrs. Chicken at the church playground on Thursday. I felt completely lame just going up to her and asking if she was who I thought she was but she was super nice :) The Poo is adorable and her and Lizzie are a LOT alike.
Second, no posts recently due to illness. About 8:30 Thursday night, I was in the dining room and C came in. He was crying and trying to tel me something. All of a sudden he coughed and I shoved him toward the trash can where he threw up :( He was up a couple more times during the night and has had diahrra (sp?) since then.
Friday afternoon, Lizzie got up from her nap crying and sobbing. She kept telling me that her ear itched so I would scratch it and she would be ok for a few minutes. Then she would start crying again. Finally she said it hurt and I gave her some Tylenol. When my dad got home from work (like 30 minutes after she got up), I took her to the doctor and found out that she had an ear infection in both ears. No other indication that anything was wrong. So now she is on meds for that and while still a bit grumpy (toss up whether that is just Lizzie being Lizzie or if the ear is bothering her) she seems to be feeling much better.
Finally, I was able to get my photo tagging software backed up and I was able to reformat my computer! When I bought my laptop, it was right before Vista came out so I got a free upgrade. I waited until over the summer to install it and regretted it from the get go. Backing up is such a pain in the rear though that I hadn't done anything about it. Finally, it got to the point that it was grinding to a halt and just wouldn't work right and I HAD to get it done. I got everything backed up and put XP back on last night. Dh spent a lot of time getting me new drivers and getting all my programs back up and running. Now, as soon as I figure out how to get my tagged files back on the computer, with tags (they are still on my EHD, where I store them but the tags are gone), I'll be completely done. And it is a good thing :)

ACDSee
This program is STRESSING me out to the max. I went through and tagged everything and then moved it to the folders that I wanted it in. I'm using the program so I could find a piece or 2 that all matched easily. Hummie had the stellar tip of just dragging and dropping the files into photoshop instead of clicking tools and then open in editor and then Adobe, which is a pain. Now, however that doesn't work from the search pane (ha, I typed pain which would be true too LOL). I have to go to the folder that I have it and move it from there. Talk about a PITA! And even the tool option doesn't work. Why is this?
Someone help before I totally freak and throw this POS computer across the room (in addition to the ACDSee issues, I'm "running", although crawling would probably be more accurate, Vista and am generally unhappy about).

Vista
I was having a problem with my computer. Basically, I couldn't get to half my blogs and it was running crazy slow. I scanned it for viruses but it came back clean. I made dh scan it because I figured it was lying to me! It came back clean for him too :( Then he ran a check for spyware and it came back with 58 instances of spyware. Apparently, all the Google desktop stuff I installed was mucking up my system. Also Stumble upon was a big offender. Those of you that have should run a check for spy ware. So dh cleaned that all up and installed Vista. When I got my computer it came with a free upgrade to Vista. I've had the disk since Feb but haven't bothered installing it. There were lots of problems with it when it first came out (and if you ask my dh, the Macman, all windows products are nothing but problems) and I didn't want to mess with critical security flaws and stuff so I didn't upgrade. So he upgraded it for me and it now runs much faster. Dh says I'm not allowed to install anymore programs without his permission because he is tired of cleaning spyware of my computers. :) I have to restart to install all the updates, but it appears my blog issue is corrected. Yay, I can read Hummie's blog from my laptop again and I won't accidently post stuff like 10 times because the other pages keeps loading.
The only problem is that my touch pad scroll bar doesn't work anymore. I use that stupid thing all the time and it is bugging me that it won't work. Dh says "it is just drivers" (which is his answer for everything being former tech support LOL) and then left to go meet with his boss. I'm not sure what drivers I need or where to get them so I'll have to wait until he get home to fix it for me :)
In other news, I painted my fingers and toes blue and both kids decided they needed blue paint as well. They are so funny
