It's sad really

TB comes downstairs tonight holding an ice bag on his hand. The following conversation ensued.
Me: What did you do that you need an ice bag?
TB: I stepped on my finger
Me: You stepped on YOUR OWN finger?
TB:*sadly shakes his head* It was not my finest hour

ROFL No idea where he comes up with this stuff but it makes me LMAO when he does

That kid cracks me up!

Today, when I told him to go get the balloon that was obviously unretrievable, he told me that it had disappeared into oblivion.

Seriously? He was right, but it was way funny!

His outrageous vobac and his ability to express himself so clearly is one reason that my mind is boggled by his inability to read/write. It would seem that his ability to express himself would make him more able to use the written word to his advantage (or at least kill at Scrabble LOL)but he remains uninterested :)

Maybe it'll be like when he started talking. One day, he'll read one word - and the next, he'll be reading Harry Potter on his own. ;)

That's what I keep telling myself. That has been the story of his life, so why not this milestone too. Plus, he is stuttering more so I think he is about to get it. Whenever he is close to a milestop, he seems to lose his ability to speak well. I'm hoping reading is the new milestone :)

Yesterday, he was coloring his wristband and said something I thought was amazing. And darn it if I can't remember what it was! I do remember thinking, "Wow. Did he really just say that? What a smart kid."
